Flip the switch. Same pet, two worlds.
This is the actual app UI — to-dos, a focus timer, sticky memos and the codex, all floating around Nova. Flip the mode and watch what it feeds on change: tokens or focus minutes.
↑ real & interactive — flip the mode, run the timer, check off to-dos, open the mini-bar's Widgets menu. The music bar mirrors your PC player and controls it — any app on Windows; Apple Music & Spotify on macOS. Nothing here is a screenshot.
One pet. Two fuels. Watch it eat both.
A real loop of what happens on your desktop — same sprites, same states as the app. A coding session burns tokens; a focus session burns minutes. Either way, Nova grows.
Pick your mode
Developer feeds on AI tokens; General feeds on focus minutes. Switch anytime in Settings — same app either way.
Just do your work
Nova sleeps while you read, paces while your agent thinks, and types along while you grind.
Everything feeds it
Tokens or minutes push Nova up the tiers. The work you already do becomes its food — and nothing ever resets.
Choose how Nova grows
Same features, same tiers, same badges — only the evolution fuel differs.
Developer — tokens
Your robot feeds on the AI tokens you already burn. Nothing extra to do — just code.
- Reads Claude Code, Codex, Gemini & GJC logs locally — lifetime tokens drive evolution
- Nova reacts live while your agents think — Claude, Codex, Gemini, GJC & more
- The original Tokodachi hook, now with a whole world around it
General — focus time
No coding required. Run the focus timer, get things done, and Nova grows on minutes well spent.
- Focus minutes are the fuel — study, write, design, anything
- Built-in focus timer feeds growth on every completed session
- For everyone who wants a companion that rewards deep work
// same tiers · same badges · same widgets — only the fuel changes
From B-tier rookie to SSS legend.
Five tiers, one direction: up. Thresholds for both fuels — no streaks to maintain, nothing ever resets.
tokens · focus hours — most people will never see an SSS. That's the point.
Skins to wear, badges to flex.
Grow your pet to SSS, then graduate to be reborn as a random new skin — collect them all across rebirths. Earn titles for how you work and pin a favorite next to your pet.
Models — skins for your pet
Reach SSS and graduate — reborn as a random skin, starting fresh at B.
Titles — badges for your habits
Eight earnable titles track when and how you work.
// fresh model skins in the workshop — free for owners
Small pet. Surprising depth.
Independent floating windows — open only what you need, dock the rest to a slim bar above your taskbar.
Gaze tracking
Its eyes follow your cursor while it idles. Stop moving and it drifts back to its own little life.
Mini mode
Need the space back? It walks to the screen edge and hides — then peeks out now and then.
Focus timer
Ring timer with session dots. Finishing a session reacts on Nova and fuels growth in General mode.
To-do & memo
Tabbed to-dos that auto-fold when done, plus pinnable sticky notes with debounced auto-save.
Key memo
A tidy vault for your API keys & tokens — auto-labels providers, encrypts at rest with Windows DPAPI / macOS Keychain, and stays local-only. Flags keys committed to your repos, warns on expiring JWTs, and auto-clears the clipboard. A local convenience vault, not a password manager.
Music remote
See & control what's playing right from the bar. Windows: any app (Spotify, YouTube, anything) via the OS media session. macOS: Apple Music & Spotify. No per-app login.
Mini-bar
Collapse everything into a slim always-on-top bar above your taskbar: pet, tier, progress, timer & music.
Living personality
Nova reads your real activity and reacts — cheers a big token day, notices a streak, gets sleepy when you're idle, and waves hello after a break. Speech bubbles, not noise.
Leaderboard
Opt-in, anonymous rankings by mode — see where your lifetime tokens or focus hours land against everyone else. Off by default; no keys, no personal data ever leave your machine. See live rankings →
Proof of grind,
in card form.
One click turns Nova into a trading card — current tier, lifetime fuel, days together. Save the PNG or grab a shareable link, then drop it in your team chat when you hit SSS and watch the reactions.
- Tier-colored frames — from B's matte grey to SSS's violet glow
- Dual stats — lifetime tokens and focus hours, side by side
- Save or share — export a clean PNG, or copy a shareable link that shows your stats

Questions, answered.
What is Tokodachi World?
A desktop pet named Nova that grows while you work. Pick your fuel — focus time, or the AI tokens you already burn in Claude Code, Codex, Gemini and GJC — and Nova evolves from B all the way to SSS. Think Tamagotchi, except your real work does the feeding.
What's the difference between the two modes?
Developer mode feeds on AI tokens from your coding agents; General mode feeds on focus time. Same pet, same tiers, same badges — only the evolution fuel differs, and you can flip between them anytime.
How much does it cost?
A one-time $6.90 early-access purchase (regular $9.90) with a 14-day refund. No subscription and no DLC — every model skin, badge, widget, and future update is free forever.
Is it private?
Yes. Everything runs locally. Secrets in the key memo are stored with OS-level encryption and never leave your machine; the pet only reads local usage signals to grow.
How is it different from the original Tokodachi?
The original Tokodachi is a token-only coding pet. Tokodachi World adds a General focus-time mode, multiple collectible skins via rebirth, floating productivity widgets, and taskbar docking — a separate, bigger product.
